Watch this interview on YouTubeI think the most important thing is the generosity the sharing because I grew up in a home where our home was shared with relatives or they could possibly be friends of the family but they were all if they had no place to stay that was the place to stay and that was the same thing with my grandparents home on my dad’s side that if there were relatives that didn’t have a place to stay then they were invited in and they stayed for as long as they needed it wasn’t the timeline of you know you can only stay for this amount of time or whatever it was a chance for them to be able to regroup and recover and be able to move on to something else that they wanted to do and today there are a lot of our families on our reservation and in our community that do that they share their living space with others they share meals with others I mean we didn’t I and my husband do that all the time where we’re sharing meals with others you know and it’s just it’s just a part of our culture it’s a part of growing up in that environment and it’s just a way of life for us and I think that it’s an important way of life because it tells people that you know there is somebody out there who cares about you and we all need to know that somebody cares for us so
