First part uh I would probably talk about his identity is a big thing because nowadays a lot of our elders have gone on a lot of the teachings that we were supposed to have gone and supposed to have been taught are gone whether it’s a young man or a young woman even kids had a role in their in the tribes upbringing and identity is a big thing because nowadays you know in this modern world where it’s all technology we forget about all our all our ways if he can’t go back to those ways and why you know why live it and I was I was growing up I had my grandma for a few short years and she would always call me by my any name but she would always say well hey you know you know this guy is gonna be this guy’s a little different she’d I would say and I never knew why she and she’d always say that it has always growing up you know it was it was always quiet my house I never understood why until one day they were having a church and back then you know they kind of how they prayed and I was just a little guy and I walked ran through and I kicked all the stuff that was on the floor I never had so many hands coming at me but I’ve always been one of those guys that just you know you know you are who you are if you don’t know who you are then you know and you need to find yourself one thing that I try to teach everybody around me is to you know be proud of who you are because you know we’re all put on this earth for a reason identity is a big issue because you look in the mirror every day you know you see yourself and you always have to ask yourself well is this who I really am and then you have to do a little soul-searching because it’s it because it means a lot in the long run because people always ask you well who are you and you can always come up with that question Matt or you can come up with the answer and say well you know I’m this person well where do you come from where do you come from is a big phrase because it’s always that you know who you belong to which family your upbringing people know people know things about other families that you probably don’t know about yourself so in turn you know we identity is really a big issue because it’s it’s who you are every day it’s we why you carry yourself keep people on you know young men and women they just don’t realize that nowadays in this modern world it’s hard to be a Native American and it’s not wanting world because people think you know we’re we’re not here and so we you sit there and at most of the time we always sit that towards the back I’m one of those guys that sit towards the front because I got to hear what you have to say I’m not gonna say anything but I’m just I’m just not gonna I’ll just kind of like you know you know but you know I just kind of compare it to my own world and identity is a big thing because they even teach it to my own kids well this is you this is who you are as long as long as I’m there let me know who they are then you know it I think everything comes on you know comes in too perspective of how the world is really is so that’s my and in all the teachings that you’re that you’re taught a it’s a broader view the world way it really is what it should be and how it could be so but when you teach this identity to little kids it’s a whole new it’s a whole new view because for them it’s what this is who I am and you teach it and so they say well you know I’m not gonna take this away from me when they get older so you know it when they teach the language and all this and when they’re kids you know they save it’s it’s it brings a whole new different meaning to that person
