Watch this interview on YouTubeI have always made my class you know um laugh with some of the things I kind of you know we kind of said you know and it was kind of you know and if I had a maybe a student teacher that was from Dickinson or maybe somewhere they’d be like what you just said that Mr Fox you know it was some of that you know that humor that was there and we did share a lot of some of those stories but most the time it was a lot of um humor and a lot of teasing where the kids were able to kind of tease me as well you know and and that being that teacher you have to understand it’s not personal it’s it’s just you know that just that you know that laughing they needed that laugh too like oh well all right if that’s what you think of me okay that’s fine you know and but having that understanding and being able to laugh with them you know and also being able to laugh at them where they laughed at you know and um and you know the humor was always um was there in the classroom and um we’d always talk about um you know we would talk about stories but we would just talk about just different types you know little behaviors like you know once again the boy that um was you know could sing any song any Rick ra song he was there but he’d always used to complain you know I’d say you know what I’m going to do I think I’m going to have a jar right here and each time you complain you’re going to have to put a nickle on here or quarter and you know and things you know stuff like that you know and just little things and or I’m going to make you make you sing or um another thing is before you left on Friday you’d have to dance out the door you know Indian dance you know and and some of them were like n I don’t want to but then toward the end of the year boy some of them were really dancing hard you know and they wouldn’t even leave they would dance around the you know they would dance around the classro and they would but then it was that laugh and that humor where we wanted to end that day and then bring that day in on a Monday and leave it on a Friday smiling you know whether it was a tough week whether we had some student not turning in their homework and I you know I always say well okay well give me an excuse you know you know would your dog eat it did you know you know being able just to throw that humor out there you know and those children being able to laugh at themselves but yet being able to laugh at you and then and just having that you know say no you don’t do you don’t say that but just you know and once again those stories really you know really did help with the humor and so
