The war started just before I left for school and so I didn't finish, I only went to 11th grade and I had to go into the Army.
But years later, after Josie and I came back from Europe, they had a graduation in a new school now at Eagle Butte and I graduated high school after, way afterwards there, an honorary graduation because I didn't get to finish school, went to war, so I graduated high school there. I was a catcher on a baseball team. And years later, I turned professional baseball, I played professional baseball, played in Marshall, Minnesota, and then played with St. Paul, Minnesota. And how about your pole vaulting? Oh, that was in high school, pole vaulting, 12 feet, 12 foot, I went pole vaulting, and set a record at that time. And then I ran 100 yards, 100 yard dash.
My brother was a mile runner at that time, a long distance runner. Then I did a little boxing, then my judo, I learned that after I made it into the paratrooper.
