Watch this interview on YouTubeI had a vision along the line here when I was doing this you know and you know when you’re in your 20s and 30s you’re not sure am i doing when I was this am i doing what I’m supposed to be doing and I had a vision about it was a TV set and this was the old TV sets it wasn’t the flat screens that they are now but it’s the old TV sets that had a bat you know the back-right not the flat ones but so I don’t know a lot of the kids today may not even know what those TV sets look like but there I don’t know what you call those tube sets I’m not sure but anyway my dream or vision it was fully beaded it was a fully beaded and just the screen you know the screen you could see the screen but it was fully beaded and I remember when I woke up from that I was like am I supposed to start beating because I would because I was I was doing beadwork at the time and actually people were beating wine glasses and can candleholders and shoes and all kinds of things and I was doing some beading at the time and I was like sure or something you know I just but then you know it’s a television set you know I know it’s like okay yeah you know I’m for me it was my you know I was you know the BLET you know keep doing what you’re doing and combine that you know I’ve always uh even at one time applied to Indiana University there cultural anthropology program because at that this is one just CDs were out plain old CDs okay this is like and I wanted to interview elders and put it on CD ROMs and that you know try to you know get the word out that way and back then elders didn’t want to talk on microphones you know they were you really had to talk to the elders and try to get them they said no they got to come to me if they want to learn they got to sit with me and that’s the only way I’m gonna teach well then people started seeing elders are leaving us and all of that knowledge is gone like that and so then I think some of the elders start saying you know what the kids aren’t coming to me or the young people they’re not coming to me what I you know they’re on fire you know what they have inside and they really want to pass it on and they finally started agreeing it took maybe I’d see about a 10 15 year time you know elders started saying okay because they would get criticized for being recorded maybe even now that you know it’s that way but it’s loosened up a lot since back then I’m talking about 70s and 80s and so my you know that vision was you know okay combined you know cultural teachings the culture with media then a friend of mine a good friend of mine from Nicky Guzman accounting which is in Ontario Canada he had a vision about he had a USB this was this was some years later being a USB I mean he called thumbdrive and he said in his dream he put it into my pipe bag he stuck in my pipe bag and so you’re like wow that’s quite a dream he had there and so anyway so there’s these visions that come with combining technology with culture and [Music]
