The man took a sweat, went to a sweat lodge. You know what a sweat lodge is. Took a sweat, rubbed himself down with mint. Smelled good. Painted his face, painted his hair. His wife was suspicious. What are you doing? There are some neighbors that came and I'm gonna come and welcome them, greet them. There was a young maiden over there. So I'm gonna go and welcome them. Took his cane. As soon as he got outside he threw his cane away. So she got there and watched him go over there. Sure enough he's going to that young maiden with him. So she took her shawl and called him back. The song said... I am standing up the hill, waving, waving my old shawl. My goodness, my goodness, why don't you come home.
