Learn About questions

What does it mean to have respect for nature? What does it mean to have respect for others? How does a practice like saying the Rosary help individuals connect to nature? What are some things about our bodies that are examples of how intricate they are?

Learn From questions

Is connecting to nature important to me? Why or why not? In what ways do I show respect or possibly lack of respect to things like nature, others, animals, flowers, etc.? What does that help me to understand about myself? Do I have a spiritual practice that helps me feel connected to nature? To the Creator? To something else important to me?

I have a deep spiritual relationship with God and that is something that I grew up with and that came from my parents and grandparents and uh was taught from the day I was born about God and our relationship with God and I know that um with that you have a respect for all things you have a respect for the land and you have a respect for what he has created and then that leads us into how we respect ourselves and how we respect others and um I love going outside and just sitting in nature and um uh that’s one of the highlights of my day is when I can get outside and sit on the deck and we live right outside of bort and so um the trees are there you know the birds we have a lot of birds around our yard I love flowers so I plant a lot of flowers and so those all give me a good perspective of being close to Nature and really appreciating you know what God has created for us and um uh I sit out there and say my Rosary every morning and it is just a good way for me to start my day and I know that it’s always been important for native people to um realize the fact that we’re not in control God is in control you know and the things that he has created and the way that everything works hand in hand and when you think about I always use the example when we think about our bodies even and the intricate pieces that we have within us and everything that has to work together to be able to make us um live and just go from um day by day breathing and and living that is what is so amazing about God and all he has done for us
